Allan Parrington - General Manager
Allan joined The Golden Lion in 2009 and in summer 2010 took the helm as General Manger. We managed to snare Allan away from his home county of the Wirral, where ironically working at The Boat House many moons ago ignited his passion for pubs.
Wayne Davies - Manager
Previously the Conference and Banqueting Manager at the
Grosvenor Pulford Hotel, hospitality has always been in Wayne's blood. He has a degree in Hospitality Management and is known throughout
the company as Wayne the 1st, joining us in 2005 as Assistant Manager of The Stamford Bridge, he then helped head up the team at The Boat House. Wayne has now moved over to The Golden Lion, which seems a much better drive from Gresford!!
Matthew Parker - Head Chef
Matthew Parker runs our kitchen. Our youngest head chef, Matt's enthusiasm for food is unprecedented, he even keeps his own chickens in his back garden!!
Mike Jones - Assistant Manager
Mike has been with the Lion for 3 years now and is our resident cask doctor! Mike is a local lad with an eye for a good pint but when he’s not serving the locals he can be found glued to his xbox!
Kris Bolton - Chef
Kris joined the Lion in Summer 2010 and he has quickly settled in by helping the Lion through the busy Christmas
festivities. Kris is a big Aston Villa fan so doesn’t often have much to celebrate,
but he still cooks a mean steak! Kris knows the area well having worked in
Erbistock before heading down to Rossett
